Year 6

The Conway Centre

"Dear Rob,

I hope your return journey to Neston went smoothly, without incident and everyone can reflect on a successful residential stay at the Conway Centres, Anglesey.

What a pleasure it was to work with both the pupils and staff from Neston Primary School last week, in particular, I found the pupils to be attentive, enthusiastic, well mannered and excellent at converting information into practice. As ever, your staff were professional and supportive and have developed an excellent relationship with the children which reflects on a lot of hard work and effort within the school from everyone, the care, respect and support shown to all the pupils without doubt greatly enhanced the youngsters education and growth during this residential experience.

I witnessed some wonderful moments where children made huge strides with regard to self confidence and a willingness to 'give it a go', which I'm sure will be reflected throughout the remainder of the academic year.

My regards to all the staff and pupils and huge thanks for the support and commitment from your staff in helping provide the youngsters with these opportunities to broaden their education on so many levels.

I look forward to seeing you all again next year.

Regards, Malcolm Fraser, Teaching staff, Conway Centres, Anglesey"

"I spent a fantastic day with year six at Conway. I watched a group traverse across a rock face (it looked a bit scary so I offered to be official photographer!) but all the children completed it and some went back for more! We then spent the afternoon doing team building exercise on a low ropes course which was much more exhausting than it looked and then threw ourselves off a really high zip slide. It was a fabulous experience for the children & I am sure it will leave them with more confidence to tackle new challenges in life.  As a governor I was most proud at meal times as our children were clearly the most polite and best behaved of the 100s of children in the dining hall. I also felt how lucky our children are to have staff who put so much time & effort into making sure that all the children had an experience they will remember for years to come."
