Admissions

Admissions Policy Statement

From September 2013 Cheshire West and Chester Council are responsible for all reception class admissions for Neston Primary School and we adopt their policy and criteria for entry into the school.

All information for admissions criteria and applications can be found at the website below. You must apply for a place in our Reception Class for September 2016 or 2017 via Cheshire West & Chester Council

www.cheshirewestandchester.gov.uk/admissions

Admissions for school year groups 1-6, will be handled directly by the school from September 2013, but the school will continue to abide by the agreed admissions criteria as published on the above website.

To apply for a place in years 1-6, please e-mail or phone the office on 0151 338 2500 and speak to Mrs Carole Cottrell (School Bursar) or Mrs Grace Radcliff (Admin Assistant) to check if there is a place in the required year group and to organise a visit to the school.

We would ask that parents/carers let the Headteacher of your current school know you are planning to visit our school, before you visit Neston Primary School.

If we do not offer you a place you have the right to appeal.  An appeal form is available online from  http://www.cheshirewestandchester.gov.uk/admissions

or telephone the local authority on 0300 123 7039 to request a form. Information on selection criteria can be found at http://www.cheshirewestandchester.gov.uk/admissions

For the past 9 years, through 2 children, I have always felt NPS goes the extra mile to support it's students in all areas of the curriculum. The staff are fantastic, hard-working and very approachable. It is a great school and I am glad we chose it all those years ago.

This school has always been a positive influence on my children (2 of which didn't want to leave!) I have recommended this school to several people in the past and will continue to do so in the future. High praise for all the teachers and assistants who make the school what it is!

Great team of staff at NPS. Ladies at reception are so helpful. Newsletter and Facebook page are very informative and helpful. Breakfast club - excellent - my child raves about it. Love the Friday celebration assembly. The sense of pride and encouragement felt is overwhelming - a wonderful celebration of the children.
