"What's for lunch?"

We are very proud of the meals served each day at school.

Please speak to Admin staff about on-line payments and the new Meal Manager system - This allows you, and your child, to choose a main meal in advance

Children in infant classes are entitled to a free school meal.

Children are welcome to bring a packed lunch each day, if they prefer.

School meals cost £2.68 per day - Meals should be paid for in advance - either weekly or half-termly as follows:

Can we please remind parents:

Payment is online using the School Gateway - THIS IS OUR PREFERRED METHOD as we are now a ‘cashless office’. The school office staff can print a Pay Point voucher for you to use at a local participating retailer, if you would like to pay using cash.

 We ask parents to ensure that packed lunches brought from home contain healthy foods, in keeping with our Healthy Schools ethos .

Is your child entitled to free school meals (FSM)?

 You may qualify, if you are a parent, guardian or carer and receive one of the following:

Income Support (IS) or you are a pupil receiving the benefit in your own right

Income Based Job Seeker Allowance (IBJSA)

Support under part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999 or

Child Tax Credit (but not Working Tax Credit) and have an annual income (as assessed by Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs) that does not exceed £16,190.

If your circumstances change it’s important that you let the local authority know by contacting the Free School Meals Helpline on - 0300 123 7039

 If you wish to apply for free school meals for your child, please call the Free School Meals Office on 0300 123 7039 with your national insurance number and they will be able to confirm your eligibility.

We are unable to backdate FSM. If a child is not entitled to FSM or if you have not re-applied for FSM, any meals your child takes must be paid for.

During the school year we organise special lunches - e.g. Street parties, Christmas lunch...
